The Listening Booth is a space to hear words and sounds in Exeter Library. It will be a place to rest and listen, as well as suggest or create content for. located on the ground floor. It will be programmed in seasons of work and evolve as members of the local community get involved in deciding how best to use it. It will be accessible to visually impaired people and it will use a directional speaker. It will hopefully be the first of many, and a place filled with a range of stories and adventures. It will open mid-February 2019 (date TBC), and was created by Hugh McCann with support from Libraries Unlimited, Exeter City Council and Arts Council England.

Below are some design sketches, more to follow soon!
